A wonderful example of a Lemurian Quartz Crystal of very high quality.

This crystal is very peculiar. The main crystal is super clear, has a contact point, where another crystal used to be connected to it but at some point they separated from each other, leaving its mark on the main crystal, but another crystal connected to it remained there and this one is optical clear, tabular and double terminated.
Where this two crystals are joined there are rainbows, which are called contact rainbows, and they are formed just like the name says, by two crystals being in contact with each other, these are the most special type of rainbows.
Another characteristic of this crystal is that it is a Dow, unfortunately it was chipped on the tip but it´s still possible to see all the faces well enough to understand that it is indeed a Dow Crystal.

This crystal comes from the mine Peña Blanca, in the Municipality of San Pablo de Borbur, Boyacá Department, in Colombia.
